KING COUNTY, WA — A vehicle accident Friday morning blocked up to two lanes on southbound Interstate 5 in Mountlake Terrace, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The collision unfolded on the southbound lanes of I-5 just north of State Route 104 and was first reported by WSDOT at 6:50 a.m.
Officials have not specified the cause of the wreck or shared details about the involved vehicles, but one left lane was blocked in the immediate aftermath.
By 7:12 a.m., the closure was upgrade to two left lanes as emergency crews arrived on the scene.
Footage captured at the site shows at least one fire engine responding.
UPDATE: The two left lanes are now blocked on SB I-5 just north of SR 104 in #MountlakeTerrace. Emergency crews are on scene.
