SEATTLE, WA — Injuries were reported Tuesday afternoon following a hit-and-run collision in north Seattle’s Bitter Lake neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.
The incident was reported in the 13200 block of Aurora Avenue North (State Route 99), near the Aurora Shopping Center. Officers with the SPD’s North Precinct responded to the scene shortly after receiving a call at 1:17 p.m.
The circumstances of the event have not been made public, but police dispatchers indicated a motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) that resulting in unspecified injuries to at least one person. At least one of the involved parties fled the scene before first responders arrived, qualifying the incident as a hit-and-run.
As of this writing, the department has not released a description of the fleeing vehicle and/or suspect.
