SEATTLE, WA — A hit-and-run collision was reported Friday afternoon in northeast Seattle’s Madison Park neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.
The incident was reported in the 1600 block of 43rd Avenue East near East Garfield Street, just west of Lakeview Lanai Condos. Officers with the department’s East Precinct responded to the scene shortly after 12:35 p.m.
Few details have been provided at this time, but police dispatchers described the event as a motor vehicle crash (“MVC”) involving a truck. It’s unclear whether the “truck” is a pickup or a semi, but at least one involved party fled the scene before authorities arrived, qualifying the incident as a hit-and-run.
It was not immediately clear whether any serious injuries were sustained.
As of this writing, the SPD has not released a description of the fleeing suspect and/or suspect.
