KING COUNTY, WA — Authorities are searching for a driver connected to a hit-and-run crash Sunday morning in Pacific that left a pedestrian injured, reports KIRO 7 Seattle.
Pacific Police Department officers were dispatched to the scene on the 400 block of Ellingson Road, near the Jack in the Box restaurant, at about 6:50 a.m.
While details remain limited, investigators said the victim was crossing the street on foot when they were hit by a westbound SUV. After an analysis of surveillance footage recovered in the area, the vehicle is now believed to be a gray or silver 2016 to 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander.
Following the contact, the vehicle was observed fleeing northbound on State Route 167, west of the crash site.
Members of the public are asked to review their own surveillance cameras for possible evidence. Anyone who may have information on a matching vehicle with a shattered windshield and recent damage to its front-end is urged to contact Sgt. Terry Carter via [email protected].
