PIERCE COUNTY, WA — A man died Tuesday night following a single-vehicle wreck that involved multiple stationary objects in east Fife, according to FOX 13 Seattle.
Fife Police Department officials said the fatal crash happened near 70th Avenue East and 20th Street East, just after 9:30 p.m.
Preliminary details show the man was driving at a high rate of speed prior to crashing his vehicle into a number of “light poles, trees, and a fire hydrant.”
Officers and medics with Tacoma Fire arrived on the scene where the the male driver was pronounced deceased shortly after.
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation by the Pierce County Metro Collision Team and the FPD detectives.
