SEATTLE, WA — A woman suffered only minor injuries Saturday morning after her vehicle crashed off the fourth floor of a parking garage in Seattle’s Belltown area, reports KOMO News.
The incident was reported at a parking garage along Alaska Way, across from Pier 66, shortly after 9:00 a.m. Seattle and Port of Seattle Police responded, along with local firefighters.
While the events leading up to the wreck remain unclear, Seattle Fire Department crews arrived on the scene to find the female driver, believed to be in her 40s, had been able to self-extricate from the vehicle.
Authorities noted that the vehicle had come to rest on its roof over a set of railway tracks, with a portion of the fourth-floor railing on the ground along the wreckage.
The victim, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported to a local hospital with injuries that appeared to be minor.
No other vehicles appear to have been involved, and no other injuries were reported.
