News: Authorities respond to crash on Western Ave W in Seattle’s Uptown

SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle crash late Monday closed part of southbound Western Avenue West in Seattle’s Uptown neighborhood, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.

Authorities were called to the scene at the intersection with 1st Avenue West, east of Myrtle Edwards Park, shortly before 11:30 p.m.

While officials have not disclosed the events leading up to the wreck, all southbound lanes of Western Avenue West were shut down and remained closed for about 2.5 hours.

Just after 2:00 a.m., the scene was announced cleared with all lanes reopened to the public.

Local agencies have not indicated any major injuries in connection to the event.
