SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — Emergency crews were called to a crash Monday morning that caused significant delays on on Interstate 5 in south Everett, reports KOMO News.
The collision was reported on the southbound lanes of I-5, south of 128th Street Southwest. It was first reported by the Washington State Department of Transportation at 6:10 a.m.
Little information has been released at this time, but two right southbound lanes were blocked as a result of the crash.
Shortly after 7:00 a.m., nearly an hour later, WSDOT reported that a traffic backup had stretched close to 7 miles long.
Authorities have not specified the cause of the accident, the types of vehicles involved, or confirmed any injuries.
