KING COUNTY, WA — A collision Wednesday morning kept at least one lane of Interstate 5 closed for over an hour in southeast SeaTac, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The accident impacted the southbound lanes of I-5 just north of South 200th Street (Exit 151). It was first recorded by WSDOT at 9:55 a.m.

Little information has been shared, but the three right southbound lanes were blocked in the immediate aftermath.

By 10:05 a.m., Washington State Patrol troopers and WSDOT’s Incident Response Team (IRT) had responded to the scene, and only the far right lane was reported partially blocked. Motorists were warned of delays impacting the area.

At 12:18 p.m., over 80 minutes after the initial WSDOT report, the accident had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to traffic.

Authorities have not confirmed any serious injuries following the event.
