TACOMA, WA — Authorities responded to a crash involving a log truck Wednesday morning on Interstate 5, east of downtown Tacoma, according to King 5.
The wreck took place on the northbound lanes of I-5 near East Bay Street, just before the Puyallup River. Shortly after 8:15 a.m, the Washington State Patrol reported that multiple crews had arrived at the scene, leaving the right lanes blocked to traffic.
It was unclear what led up to the collision or whether another vehicle was involved, but a phot captured at the scene shows several logs at least partially spilled out onto the roadway.
Shortly after 11:30 a.m., more than three hours later, the Washington State Department of Transportation announced that all lanes had been reopened to traffic.
No major injuries have been reported in connection to the crash.
