SEATTLE, WA — Authorities were called to the scene of a wreck Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 5 in Seattle’s Pike/Pine neighborhood, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident impacted the northbound lanes of I-5, just north of Olive Way. It was first recorded by WSDOT at 4:25 p.m.
While only the far left lane was initially reported blocked, the closure was upgraded to two left lanes as local firefighters and WSDOT’s Incident Response Team (IRT) arrived shortly after. Motorists were warned of delays in the area.
Footage captured at the scene shows at least two fire engines responding.

By 5:05 p.m., 40 minutes after the initial report, crews had cleared the vehicles from the roadway and all travel lanes were reported reopened to traffic.
It was unclear whether anyone was seriously hurt and/or had to be transported to a hospital.
