PIERCE COUNTY, WA — A passenger vehicle was used to slam into a Puyallup business Friday morning during a smash-and-grab burglary, according to KOMO News.
The incident occurred at LUCID – Puyallup, a cannabis shop off River Road East, across from the Puyallup River. It was first reported just before 5:00 a.m.
Preliminary details indicate a suspect drove a black Kia through the business storefront, and the impact of the crash broke apart the cage over the front door.
Deputies with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department arrived to find the building unoccupied, but it was determined that multiple suspects had stolen a number of unspecified items before fleeing the scene in a different vehicle.
No injuries were reported in connection to the crash.
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact the PCSD or Crime Stoppers.
