SEATTLE, WA — Authorities were dispatched to a crash late Tuesday on Aurora Avenue North in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.
The accident occurred at the intersection with North 44th Street and was first reported by SDOT at 10:16 p.m.
Very few details have been made available, but the right southbound lane of Aurora Avenue North was shut down for more than 4.5 hours, suggesting a major wreck.

By 2:52 a.m. the next morning, August 23, crews had removed the scene from the roadway and all lanes were reopened.
