KING COUNTY, WA — Authorities responded to a wreck Thursday morning that closed two left lanes on Interstate 5 in west Kent, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident took place on the sound side of I-5, just south of State Route 516 (Exit 149A), in the city’s Midway area. It was first recorded by WSDOT at 8:25 a.m.
Local agencies have not yet disclosed a cause of the crash or any information on the involved parties, but the two left northbound lanes were blocked as a result.
Footage captured at the scene suggests two vehicles, including a work van and a passenger car, were involved.

At 8:43 a.m., less than 20 minutes after the initial report, the scene was announced cleared from the scene, with all lanes reopened to traffic.
It remains unclear whether any serious injuries were sustained.
