WEST SEATTLE, WA — Injuries were reported after a hit-and-run crash Thursday morning in West Seattle’s North Admiral neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.
The incident was reported at the intersection of Southwest College Street and California Avenue Southwest, about two blocks west of the Seattle Public Library’s West Seattle Branch. Officers with the department’s Southwest Precinct were called to the scene shortly after 11:00 a.m.
Very few details have been released, but police dispatchers described the event as a motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) with injuries. At least one of the involved parties left the scene before authorities arrived, distinguishing the crash as a hit-and-run.
At this time, the SPD has not confirmed the number of people hurt or indicated the extent of injuries.
No description of the fleeing vehicle or the hit-and-run suspect has been made available.
