SEATTLE, WA — Authorities were called to the scene of a crash early Tuesday on 1st Avenue South in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.
The collision was reported at the intersection with South Walker Street, shortly after 3:40 a.m.
No information indicating the cause of the wreck was immediately shared, but all southbound lanes of 1st Avenue South were initially reported blocked.

Shortly after, both northbound and southbound lanes of the road between South Holgate Street and South Walker Street were announced closed.
Motorists were urged to find alternate routes as crews worked to clear the scene.

At 8:47 a.m., more than five hours after the initial report, the accident had been cleared from the roadway.
