SEATTLE, WA — Authorities were called to a crash Thursday morning on an Interstate 5 offramp in Seattle’s University District, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident impacted the Exit 169 ramp connecting I-5 southbound to Northeast 50th Street. It was first recorded by WSDOT at 6:45 a.m.
Little information has been made available, but the right southbound lane was closed as Washington State Patrol troopers and WSDOT’s Incident Response Team (IRT) responded to the scene.
Footage captured at the scene suggests a passenger car veered into the right-shoulder guardrail. It was not immediately clear whether anyone was seriously hurt.

By 7:19 a.m., more than 30 minutes later, the scene was announced cleared and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
