KING COUNTY, WA — Authorities were called to a collision Friday morning that blocked an HOV lane on Interstate 405 in southwest Renton, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
The wreck occurred on the northbound lanes of I-405, just south of Exit 2 to State Route 167. It was first reported by WSDOT at 8:10 a.m.
While the cause of the accident was not immediately clear, Washington State Patrol troopers and local firefighters responded to the scene shortly before 8:30 a.m.
The northbound HOV lane remained closed for more than 35 minutes as crews worked to clear the area.

By 8:47 a.m., the scene had been removed from the roadway and all lanes were announced reopened to traffic.

Local agencies have not confirmed any serious injuries in connection to the incident.
