KITTITAS COUNTY, WA — A semi-truck caught fire Monday afternoon, causing a significant brush fire along Interstate 90 near Kittitas, according to KOMO News.

The incident took place on the eastbound side of I-90 at milepost 115. It was first reported by the Washington State Department of Transportation at about 1:30 p.m.

Officials have not said whether a crash caused the truck fire, but  eastbound I-90 was closed at milepost 115, and westbound I-i0 was blocked at Vantage Bridge, forcing motorists to re-route.

Shortly after 5:30 p.m., all eastbound lanes of I-90 was announced reopened, though the westbound side remained closed as crews worked to clear the brush fire.

No major injuries have been confirmed following the event.
