PIERCE COUNTY, WA — A driver was arrested for suspected intoxication early Saturday after a two-vehicle crash in Sumner that seriously hurt at least one person, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The collision took place on the eastbound side of SR-410, just east of Traffic Avenue. It was first reported by Trooper John Dattilo at 1:17 a.m.
Little information has been made available, but the causing driver was taken into custody for DUI.
The WSP has not confirmed the number of people injured or disclosed the severity of patient conditions.
All eastbound traffic on SR-410 was forced to divert onto Traffic Avenue during the emergency response and initial investigation.
