SEATTLE, WA — Authorities were dispatched to a vehicle wreck Friday morning on Rainier Avenue South in southeast Seattle, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.
The accident took place at the intersection with South Dakota Street, in the city’s Mount Baker neighborhood. It was first reported by SDOT at 10:33 a.m., when first responders had already arrived at the scene.
Details are limited, but all northbound lanes and one southbound lane of Rainier Avenue South were closed as a result of the crash.
A photo taken at the site shows at least one fire engine responding.

By 10:51 a.m., less than 20 minutes later, the northbound right lane/bus lane was reopened to traffic, while the left northbound lanes and one southbound lane remained blocked.
Motorists were urged to use extra caution as they approach the area.

It was not immediately clear whether anyone was hurt and/or had to be taken to a hospital.
