SEATTLE, WA — Injuries were reported Friday afternoon after a hit-and-run on Martin Luther King Jr Way South in southeast Seattle, according to the Seattle Police Department.
The incident was reported in the 4000 block of the road, east of Dakota Park. Officers with the department’s South Precinct were called to the scene at around 1:18 p.m.
Little information has been shared at this time, but police dispatchers listed the event as a motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) with injuries. At least one of the involved parties left the scene before authorities arrived, classifying the crash as a hit-and-run.
As of this writing, the SPD has not confirmed the number of people hurt or indicated the severity of the injuries sustained.
No information on the suspect and/or fleeing vehicle has been released.
