PIERCE COUNTY, WA — Serious injuries were reported late last Wednesday, June 21, after a collision on State Route 410 in Sumner, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Authorities said the accident occurred on the eastbound highway at Valley Avenue. It was first recorded by the WSP at 11:22 p.m.
Little information was released, but at least one person was seriously hurt in a crash involving two passenger cars.
All eastbound traffic of SR-410 was being diverted onto East Main Avenue, one exit back, as the WSP and crews worked to clear the scene.
Members of the Washington State Department of Transportation – Tacoma were called to the area to assist with traffic control.
