SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A woman died Wednesday morning after a hit-and-run pedestrian crash in the Holly area of southwest Everett, according to KOMO News.
The incident occurred in the 10100 block of Evergreen Way, between Olivia Park and 100th Street Southwest. It was first reported by the Everett Police Department at 7:09 a.m.
Officials have not disclosed the circumstances behind the event, but the woman was hit by a darkSUV heading northbound on Evergreen Way. Moments after, the driver reported pulled over, exited the vehicle and observed the scene before getting back in and fleeing southbound from the scene.
At about 6:45 a.m., the Medical Examiner was on the scene.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area, as a section of northbound Evergreen Way was expected to remain closed for hours.
An investigation by the EPD’s traffic detectives was underway.
