SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — Authorities believe as many as seven drivers were involved in a hit-and-run crash early Wednesday near southwest Everett that killed a female pedestrian, reports KOMO News.
The Everett Police Department said the events unfolded in the 10100 block of Evergreen Way at about 4:37 a.m.
Preliminary details show that the victim, a 41-year-old woman, was first hit by a driver in a dark-colored SUV. That driver pulled over, exited their vehicle and looked at the victim before getting back in the SUV and fleeing the scene. Minutes later, the victim was struck by a driver in a silver or gray vehicle who continued away from the site without stopping. A witness told authorities the victim continued to be hit by an additional four or five other vehicles whose drivers failed to stop.
At this time, an investigation and search for the involved drivers remain ongoing. Everett Police said they are currently processing surveillance footage in an effort to identify and locate the fleeing drivers.
