SEATTLE, WA — Authorities were called to a crash involving a hit-and-run driver Friday afternoon in Seattle’s Uptown neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.
The incident occurred in the 400 block of 1st Avenue West, about two blocks west of Climate Pledge Arena. Officers with the department’s West Precinct were called to the scene at around 1:38 p.m.
Little information has been provided, but police dispatchers described the event as a motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) involving a truck. At least one of the involved parties left the scene before authorities arrived, classifying the crash as a hit-and-run.
At this time, the SPD has not confirmed any serious injuries or released a description of the suspect or fleeing vehicle.
