KING COUNTY, WA — Authorities are searching for anyone who may have witnessed a suspected hit-and-run crash Saturday afternoon that left a motorcyclist seriously injured, reports FOX 13 Seattle.
The incident occurred on the eastbound side of State Route 18 near C Street, at around 4:30 p.m.
Preliminary details indicate the motorcyclist was exiting from eastbound SR-18 to C Street when a car entered the ramp from the wrong direction, forcing the motorcycle to crash.
Washington State Patrol troopers worked to apply a tourniquet on the rider, who was found on the ground, suffering from a significant leg injury. Responding firefighters later took over medical aid and had the victim flown to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center.
At this time, the WSP continues to investigate and search for the causing vehicle, which has only been described as a beige sedan at this time.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information is encouraged to contact WSP Detective Haake via [email protected].
