SEATTLE, WA — A 40-year-old man was fatally injured in a multi-vehicle crash Thursday evening while riding their motorcycle in Seattle’s SODO neighborhood, reports FOX 13 Seattle.
The accident occurred in the area of 4th Avenue South and South Horton Street. Seattle Police responded to the scene at about 5:30 p.m.
Preliminary details suggest the man was operating a motorcycle at a high rate of speed, which may have led to the crash, which also involved a sport utility vehicle and a flatbed truck.
The rider was pronounced deceased at the scene, confirmed officials.
The driver of the SUV was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. No injuries to the truck driver were reported.
No further details have been shared, but an investigation by the SPD’s Traffic Collision Investigation Squad remains ongoing.
