SEATTLE, WA — Emergency crews were called to a crash Wednesday morning that blocked a right lane on Southwest Alaska Street in West Seattle, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.
The accident happened on the westbound lanes of the road at 42nd Avenue Southwest, near Junction Plaza Park. It was first reported by SDOT at 8:12 a.m.
Officials have not provided details regarding the cause of the wreck, but the closure remained in place for over 45 minutes.
It was unclear whether anyone was seriously injured, but a photo taken at the intersection shows a fire engine and at least two police cruisers responding.

Shortly before 9:00 a.m., crews had cleared the scene out of the roadway.
