SEATTLE, WA — Authorities responded to a vehicle wreck Thursday morning in south Seattle’s South Beacon Hill neighborhood, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.
The accident happened on the southbound lanes of Martin Luther King Junior Way South at Beacon Avenue South. It was first reported by SDOT at 10:42 p.m.
No information regarding the cause of the crash has been provided, but a photo taken at the scene shows multiple emergency vehicles responding, and a traffic backup forming. Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes.

The closure remained in place for nearly an hour, suggesting a major accident. At 11:39 a.m., the entire roadway was reopened to the public.
