MERCER ISLAND, WA — Authorities were called to a collision Wednesday morning on Interstate 90 on north Mercer Island, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident occurred on the westbound lanes of I-90, just west of Island Crest Way. It was first reported by WSDOT at 8:25 a.m.
While the circumstances of the crash were not immediately clear, two left lanes, including the HOV lane, were closed during the emergency response.

By 8:42 a.m., less than 20 minutes later, the scene was announced cleared and all lanes were reopened to motorists.
Local agencies have not indicated any serious injuries in the event.
