WEST SEATTLE, WA — A 53-year-old woman was injured Monday afternoon due to a rollover crash involving a parked car in West Seattle, according to West Seattle Blog.
The collision took place in the 2400 block of Harbor Avenue Southwest, in the North Admiral neighborhood. It was first reported by WSB at 1:55 p.m.
Officials have not shared a possible cause of the wreck, but the woman was driving a passenger car when it struck a parked vehicle. The impact of the crash caused the first car to flip onto its roof, leaving the driver trapped.
Seattle Fire Department crews were dispatched to the scene to perform a rescue extrication. After safely removing the driver, first responders rushed the patient by AMR ambulance to Harborview Medical Center, where she was listed in fair condition.
A section of Harbor Avenue Southwest was closed in both directions following the incident. Only the Water Taxi shuttle was allowed passage through the scene as crews worked to clear the roadway.
By 2:21 p.m., WSB reported that the road had reopened to normal traffic.
