KING COUNTY, WA — A semi-truck overturned Wednesday afternoon on State Route 522, prompting closures on two ramps near University of Washington Bothell, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident happened on the eastbound lanes of SR-522 near Interstate 405. It was first reported by WSDOT at 1:55 p.m.
While officials have not disclosed a possible cause of the rollover, video captured at the scene shows the semi at rest on its driver’s side, with dirt spilled out across the roadway and median.
As a result of the crash, the southbound I-405 ramp to eastbound SR-522 was shut down, as well as the eastbound SR-522 ramp to northbound I-405.
By 2:45 p.m., crews were able to get the semi upright, but no estimated clearance time was immediately announced.
