SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle accident Thursday afternoon closed two left lanes on Interstate 5 in Seattle’s Portage Bay neighborhood, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The collision occurred on the northbound lanes just north of Roanoke Street. It was first reported by WSDOT at 3:25 p.m.
Few details have been made available, but the incident prompted a response from multiple agencies, including the Washington State Patrol, WSDOT’s Incident Response Team (IRT) and local firefighters.
Motorists were advised of delays impacting the area.

By 3:43 p.m., crews had cleared the scene and all lanes were restored to normal traffic.
Authorities have not confirmed any serious injuries at this time.
