News: Injuries reported after hit-and-run on 35th Ave SW in Fauntleroy area

SEATTLE, WA — At least one person was left hurt Friday afternoon after a hit-and-run collision in southwest Seattle’s Fauntleroy neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The incident was reported at the intersection of 35th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Cambridge Street, a few blocks east of Fauntleroy Park. Officers with the department’s Southwest Precinct were called to the scene at around 3:25 p.m.

Little information has been released, but dispatchers listed the event as a motor vehicle collision with injuries. At least one involved party fled the scene before authorities arrived, qualifying the crash as a hit-and-run.

As of this writing, the number of people injured and the extent of their injuries has not been confirmed. The SPD has not released a description of a fleeing vehicle or suspect.
