SEATTLE, WA — A serious vehicle fire late Tuesday morning reduced Interstate 5 to two lanes near King County International Airport, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The incident was reported on the southbound lanes of I-5 north of South Boeing Access Road, in Tukwila’s Duwamish area. Shortly before 12:00 p.m., WSDOT’s Incident Response Team was on the scene preparing to close the right southbound lane.
At this time, it remains unclear whether a crash caused the blaze or whether anyone was hurt, but video shows an SUV completely engulfed in flames.
