KING COUNTY, WA — At least one person died Friday morning after a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 90 in North Bend, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The fatal accident took place on the eastbound lanes at Exit 42 to Tinkham Road, southeast of the city. It was first reported by Trooper Rick Johnson at 8:30 a.m.
Little information has been provided at this time, but officials indicated a passenger car collided with a barrier, fatally injuring at least one occupant.

Two left eastbound lanes were blocked during the emergency response. By 9:38 a.m., more than an hour later, only one lane remained closed.
Washington State Department of Transportation crews joined the WSP at the scene to help with traffic control.

At this time, authorities have not shared a possible cause of the wreck.
