SEATTLE, WA — A 64-year-old woman was seriously injured Monday night due to a pedestrian crash near a Rite Aid store in West Seattle’s Seaview neighborhood, according to West Seattle Blog.
The incident occurred at the intersection of California Avenue Southwest and Southwest Dawson Street. It was first reported by WSB at 9:25 p.m., as Seattle Police were closing a section of California Avenue at Brandon.
Few details have been shared, but a witness told authorities the woman was walking near the store when she was struck by a vehicle. It was unclear whether the victim was in a designated crosswalk.
Seattle Fire Department officials said the patient was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
By 10:12 p.m., the Seattle Department of Transportation indicated the scene had been cleared with all lanes reopened to traffic.
