SEATTLE, WA — Authorities responded to a single-vehicle collision Thursday night on the westbound side of West Seattle Bridge, according to West Seattle Blog.
The accident occurred at the west end of the bridge approaching Fauntleroy Way Southwest. It was first reported by WSB at 10:19 p.m.
Few details have been provided, but a witness said an SUV was involved in a crash near the “Welcome to West Seattle” sign along the westbound bridge. The wreck prompted a response from both Seattle Police and Seattle Fire Department crews, but firefighters were only on the scene for about 19 minutes, suggesting a more minor incident.
No serious injuries were immediately reported.
WSB noted the event was at least the third bridge crash authorities responded to on Thursday.
At 11:00 p.m., WSB reported the scene had been cleared from the roadway.
