News: Pedestrian pinned, killed in two-car crash near east Des Moines

KING COUNTY, WA — One person died Tuesday afternoon after being hit and pinned during a crash on Pacific Highway South near east Des Moines, reports FOX 13 Seattle.

Des Moines Police said the fatal incident occurred in the 22000 block of the highway at South 220th Street, between the Popeyes restaurant and Valley Sports Cars. Officers and first responders arrived on the scene shortly after 4:00 p.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash, but two vehicles were involved, and the victim was left pinned under one of the cars.

The DMPD did not say whether anyone else was injured in the event.
