SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 90 in Seattle’s Atlantic area prompted a response from multiple agencies, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident impacted the westbound lanes just west of Exit 3 to Rainier Avenue South. It was first recorded by WSDOT at 4:10 p.m.
Authorities have not provided information regarding the cause of the wreck, but up to two left lanes were blocked by 4:17 p.m.
It was unclear whether anyone was seriously injured, but the Washington State Patrol, local firefighters, and WSDOT’s Incident Response Team (IRT) were all dispatched to the scene.
Motorists traveling from the I-90 bridge and the nearby tunnel were advised of heavy traffic delays in the area.

By 4:33 p.m., officials announced the scene had been cleared to the left shoulder, with all travel lanes restored to traffic.
