SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A vehicle crash Tuesday evening prompted a heavy emergency response on Interstate 5 in southeast Lynnwood, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident occurred on the northbound lanes at Exit 181A to 44th Avenue West. It was first reported by WSDOT at 5:40 p.m.
No information regarding the cause of the wreck has been shared, but local firefighters, Washington State Patrol troopers, and WSDOT’s Incident Response Team (IRT) were all dispatched to the scene.
The left lane was closed in the immediate aftermath, and delays were expected in the area.
Shortly after 6:00 p.m., all travel lanes were reopened, but vehicles remained on the right side of I-5, creating a visual distraction.
Authorities have not confirmed any injuries as of this writing.
