SEATTLE, WA — A woman was taken into custody for suspected impairment Sunday morning after her vehicle hit a marked WSP car on Interstate 5 in Seattle’s Eastlake area, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The incident took place on the northbound lanes near Exit 168B to State Route 520, at around 5:30 a.m.
Preliminary details indicate a trooper was standing outside of his vehicle when it was hit by a car driven by the female suspect.
Images captured at the scene show substantial damage to the right-rear corner of the WSP vehicle.
Though no serious injuries were reported, the causing driver was arrested for suspected DUI.
