SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A woman was evaluated for DUI Sunday afternoon after a single-vehicle crash that caused a small power outage in southeast Edmonds, according to KOMO News.

The collision occurred in the 23400 block of 100th Avenue West, in the Sherwood Forest area. It was first reported by the Edmonds Police Department at about 5:35 p.m.

Details remain limited, but authorities said a woman in her 50s was driving when her vehicle crashed through a fence and crashed down an embankment.

No injuries to the female driver or anyone else were reported, but power in the area was said to have been disrupted. A section of 100th Avenue West was shut down for 4-8 hours as crews worked the scene.

The EPD said the female driver was taken to a nearby hospital to determine whether she had been driving under the influence.

No updates have been released as of this writing, but an investigation was underway.
