KING COUNTY, WA — A vehicle fire Thursday afternoon blocked part of Interstate 5 near in Tukwila, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The incident occurred on the southbound lanes near the city’s Southcenter area. It was first reported by WSDOT at 3:48 p.m.
Authorities have not confirmed whether or not a crash caused the fire, but footage at the scene shows a vehicle completely engulfed in flames and at least one fire truck responding. A heavy traffic backup can be seen slowly passing the area.

At this time, local agencies have not disclosed the conditions of those involved.
