SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle crash Sunday night closed part of a major intersection in downtown Seattle’s Central Business District, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation.
The accident happened at the corner of 5th Avenue and Pike Street, near Urban Outfitters and Starbucks stores. It was first reported by SDOT at about 9:39 p.m.
Officials have not said what led up to the crash, but the southbound left lane and eastbound right lane were blocked as a result.
A photo taken at the scene suggests only one motor vehicle was involved. At least one Seattle Police Department vehicle can be seen responding to the site.
The scene remained on the roadway for nearly an hour. By 10:32 a.m., crews had cleared the wreck from the roadway and all lanes were reported reopened.
No injuries have been confirmed at this time.
