PIERCE COUNTY, WA — At least one person was injured Friday afternoon due to a multi-vehicle wreck on Interstate 5 in Lakewood, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident happened on the northbound lanes at Exit 125 to Bridgeport Way. It was first reported by Trooper Robert Reyer at 2:29 p.m.
Authorities did not say who was at fault, but up to five vehicles were involved, prompting a response from WSP troopers and emergency medics.
Minor injuries were reported in the event, but the WSP did not confirm how many people were impacted.
Three travel lanes were blocked in the immediate aftermath, leaving only the left lane open to traffic.
By 3:37 p.m., more than an hour later, all lanes were reopened to the public.
