SEATTLE, WA — A man remains hospitalized a month after a pedestrian crash Sunday, February 12, on Interstate 5 in downtown Seattle, and investigators are seeking witnesses, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The incident occurred on the southbound lanes in the collector-distributor ramp near James Street. WSP dispatchers received the call shortly after 8:15 p.m.
A preliminary investigation indicates the victim was trying to cross the southbound interstate on foot when he was hit by a driver in a southbound Subaru.
First responders rushed the patient to Harborview Medical Center. According to officials, he remains in the Intensive Care unit.
The WSP was able to rule out impairment on the part of the driver.
