PIERCE COUNTY, WA — Authorities are searching for a driver who crashed a stolen vehicle into a GameStop store in Tacoma early Tuesday, reports KOMO News.

Tacoma Police said the incident occurred within the Johnsborough Station shopping center, in the 1600 block of East 72nd Street. Officers responded to the scene in the city’s Eastside area just before 2:30 a.m.

According to an employee at the impacted store, surveillance video shows the vehicle, a stolen Kia, stopping in front of the business. It then appeared to have shifted gears and reversed into the building.

Though police arrived about four minutes after the store alarm sounded, the driver had fled the scene and abandoned the vehicle, which was found inside the structure.

No injuries have been reported, but the suspect remains at large. The Tacoma Police Department has not released any identifying information at this time.
