News: SPD responds to injury hit-and-run on 38th Ave SW in West Seattle

WEST SEATTLE, WA — At least one person was injured Friday afternoon due to a hit-and-run crash in West Seattle’s North Admiral neighborhood, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The incident was reported in the 3200 block of 38th Avenue Southwest, off of Southwest Hanford Street, about six blocks east of West Seattle High School. Officers with the department’s Southwest Precinct were called to the area at about 3:51 p.m.

Little information has been made available, but dispatchers listed the event as a motor vehicle collision with injuries. At least one of the involved parties fled the scene before authorities arrived, qualifying the crash as a hit-and-run.

At this time, the exact number of people injured and the extent of their injuries remains unknown to the public.
